Heavy steering:
.. Upper thread is over-tightened.
.. Steering bearing is damaged or worn.
.. Inner & outer bearing races are damaged
or not well tightened.
.. Steering stem is distorted.
.. Low tire pressure.
.. Tire worn.
Excessive handlebar free play:
.. Steering bearing is damaged or not well
tightened.
.. LH and RH shock absorber settings are
not matched.
.. Defective tires.
.. Deformed frame.
.. Worn tires.
.. Defective wheel bearing.
Severe front wheel run-out:
.. Wheel rim distorted.
.. Faulty wheel bearing.
.. Faulty tires.
.. Improper balance of wheels.
.. Improper tightening of axle nut on shaft.

Removal:
Lift and support the vehicle at the frame.
Make sure there is no force on the wheel.
Remove 4 wheel nuts 1.
Remove the wheel.
Remove decorating cover 2 if required.
Wheel cannot turn freely
.. Faulty wheel bearing.
.. Wheel installed improperly.
.. Brake drag.
Suspension too soft
.. Weakened shock absorber/mis-adjusted.
.. Tire pressure is too low.
Suspension too hard
.. Shock absorber is damaged/mis-
adjusted.
.. Tire pressure is too high.
Noise from front shock absorber
.. Faulty shock absorber.
.. Loosened parts of shock absorber.
Poor brake performance
.. Faulty brake adjustment.
.. Worn brake disc.
.. Brake pads worn.

Rim Inspection:
Check wheel for damage, deformation,
nicks.
Slowly turn wheel in a tire balancer, and
use a dial gauge to measure the rim run-
out.
Service limit: 2.0mm (Axial)
2.0mm (Radial)
If any abnormal condition has been found,
replace it.
Installation:
Assemble wheel and nuts on the hub.
Wheel nuts tightening torque:
70N·m~80N·m
