Oil Filter Element Installation
Install a new o-ring on oil filter cover;
Apply engine oil on o-ring and the end of
filter;
Install the element into oil filter bore;
Install the oil filter cover on the engine.
Torque screws to 10N·m.
5.5.9 Oil Pressure Limit Valve
Oil pressure limit valve is on engint right
crankcase(On CVT side).
The valve works when the oil pressure
exceeds 450kPa(65PSI).
Removal
Status 1
Remove limit valve screw and O-ring;
Remove the ring and screw.
Status 2
Remove relief valve screw plug and O-ring.
Remove washer, spring and steel ball.
Inspection
Inspect the steel ball, O-ring, pressure limit
bolt (with the washer) got damaged or not.
Replace the part if trouble inspected.
Inspect the pressure limit valve spring
free length. If out of standard, replace the
spring.
Spring free length
New 24.1mm
Service limit 23mm
Installation
Reverse the removal procedure for
installation.Install the oil pressure limit
valve. Set the O-ring on screw (with the
washer) of the limit valve,then spring and
set the steel ball in the installing hole.
Finally tight the valve up.
Note:
The bolt has mark A.
It is not necessary to do this if the pressure
is normal
