5.10 Troubleshooting

Possible Reason
Trouble may coming from:
1. ECU to oxygen sensor pin2
disconnected
2. Oxygen sensor pin 1 to main relay
disconnected
3. Oxygen sensor pin 1 to pin2
disconnected.
Testing Solution
Check:
1. Measure ECU connecting pin to pin
2 of oxygen sensor resistance.
2. Measure oxygen sensor pin 1 to
main relay resistance.
3. Measure oxygen sensor pin 1 to 2
pin resistance (8.5Ω).
Possible Reason
Trouble may coming from:
1. ECU pin line short to the ground
2. ECU pin line short to pin 1 of oxygen
sensor.
3. ECU short to other line.
Testing Solution
Check:
1. M e a s u r e E C U p i n t o g r o u n d
resistance
2. Measure ECU voltage
3. M e a s u r e E C U p i n t o p i n D 1
resistance (8.5Ω).
Possible Reason
Trouble may coming from:
1. ECU pin line short to the ground
2. ECU pin line short to pin 1 of oxygen
sensor.
3. ECU short to other line.
4. Oxygen sensor damaged.
Testing Solution
Check:
1. M e a s u r e E C U p i n t o g r o u n d
resistance
2. Measure ECU voltage
3. Measure ECU pin to pin 1 resistance
(8.5Ω).
Possible Reason
Trouble may be coming from:
1. The ECU line to pin 3 and pin 4
disconnected
2. Oxy gen s ens or pin 3 and pin 4
disconnected
Testing Solution
Check:
1. Replace the oxygen sensor
2. Replace the ECU
3. Line test

Trouble code P0031/P0051‚Cylinder 1/Cylinder 2 heating coil low voltage
Trouble code P0131/P0151:Cylinder 1/Cylinder 2 Oxygen sensor voltage low
Oxygen sensor diagnose instructions: The system will judge the signal by measuring pin
A and pin B output voltage.
The oxygen sensor may be damaged by condensated liquid, especially in cold start
period
