3. Place the carrier bearing assembly bracket into the

frame and loosely install new cap screws and lock

nuts.

4. Install the top differential mounting cap screw, two

washers, and lock nut. Do not tighten at this time.

5. Install the lower differential mounting cap screw,

washers, and lock nut. Place the washer outside of

the frame mounting tabs. Tighten the differential fas-

teners to 38 ft-lb.

6. Tighten the cap screws and lock nuts securing the

rubber coupler to each propeller shaft to 50 ft-lb;

then tighten the cap screws and lock nuts securing

the carrier bearing assembly bracket to the frame to

35 ft-lb.

7. Pour 275 ml (9.1 fl oz) of SAE 80W-90 hypoid lubri-

cant into the differential and install the fill plug.

Tighten to 16 ft-lb.

8. Install the front axles.

9. Install the knuckle assemblies onto the axles and ball

joints; then secure with four cap screws taking care

not to damage the threads when installing. Tighten to

35 ft-lb.

10. Secure the lower shock eyelets with cap screws and

lock nuts. Tighten to 35 ft-lb.
