Turn the paper pickup roller until the claw of the clutch spring touches the armature again.
Check that the gap between the clutch spring claw and the armature is 0.6 to 1.0mm when
the armature is attracted by the paper pickup solenoid.

Then, with the clutch spring claw touching the armature, check that the gap between the
paper pickup stopper hook and the armature is 2.0 to 3.0mm, using the thickness gauge.

(10) If the gap between the paper pickup stopper hook and the armature is out of the specified
values, the clutch spring of the paper pickup roller is defective. Replace the paper pickup
roller. (Refer to “2.4.9 Paper Pickup Roller Assembly (Bypass Tray).”)
(11) After the adjustment, reassemble the components in the reverse of disassembly.
