Cause
The Optional paper empty sensor
(Lower-row) in the Recording pa-
per tray has turned OFF. Or the
Optional paper size sensors
(Lower-row) turned OFF.
When the Optional recording pa-
per trays are not installed:
The Paper empty sensor or Pa-
per size sensors have turned
OFF.
When the Optional recording pa-
per trays are installed.
The Paper empty sensor and
Optional paper empty sensors
have turned OFF. Or the Paper
size sensors and Optional pa-
per size sensors have turned
OFF.
The remaining toner will go out
soon.
After displaying “TONER LOW”,
the number of print pages has
reached the specified value.
The drum counter has reached
9,000 pages (in LT-size paper).
The number of print pages has
reached 1,000 after displaying
“DRUM UNIT WARNING” is de-
tected (10,000 prints).
No Developer assembly with the
Drum unit is installed.
Remedy
Supply recording paper to the lower-
row Optional recording paper tray. Or
insert Recording paper tray firmly.
If the same error message is dis-
played again after supplying record-
ing paper and inserting Recording pa-
per tray firmly, refer to “4.3.6 MIDDLE/
LOWER PAPER EMPTY” on page 11-
63.
Supply recording paper to Recording
paper trays. Or insert Recording pa-
per trays firmly.
If the same error message is dis-
played again after supplying Record-
ing paper and inserting Recording pa-
per tray firmly, refer to “4.3.4 PAPER
EMPTY” on page 11-61.
Replace the Toner cartridge with a
new one.
Replace the Toner cartridge with a
new one.
Replace the Drum unit with a new one.
Replace the Drum unit with a new one.
Install a the Developer assembly with
the Drum unit.
If the same error is displayed, refer to
"4.3.7 CONFIRM DEV. UNIT" on page
11-64.
