Auto Receive Mode
[MENU], [4], [1], [15]
Use this setting to decide whether the machine is to be used primarily as a dedicated facsimile
unit or as both a fax and a telephone.

] keys to select the desired mode (AUTO RECEIVE or MANUAL
RECEIVE), and press the [ENTER] key.
AUTO RECEIVE MODE

Auto Receive Mode
This mode is selected to use this machine only as a facsimile unit. When it is selected, the
Ring Delay count is to be set in the range from 01 to 10, followed by the [ENTER] key.
Manual Receive Mode
This mode is selected to connect the machine to a line which is used as a voice tele-
phone. In this case, the machine is used for both voice communication and fax sending/
receiving, the [START] key must be pressed after lifting up the handset (option).

When the “OPERATION COMPLETED” message is displayed, press the [STOP] key to
return to the Standby Mode screen.
