DP120F/DP125F Troubleshooting
1.4 SERVICE MODE
Service mode provides the service technician with various tests and functions that will alter the
performance of the machine. As such, general users should not be given access to this mode.
By entering the service mode, you will gain access to Function Tests, Maintenance mode, and
Service Lists.
Service Mode Operation Overview
These are two methods for entering the service mode.
Single use service mode operation:
NOTE:
When you enter the service mode using this procedure, the facsimile automati-
cally returns to the standby mode after each test is completed.
(1)
Press the following keys [MENU], [ * ], [#], [ * ] and [ * ] in sequence.
(2)
Select the desired service mode function using the [
↑
] or [
↓
] keys and press [ENTER]
or press the dial key ([1], [2], or [3]) corresponding to the function.
Continuous service mode operation:
(1)
Turn the power switch ON while holding the dial keys [1] and [3] down.

When you change to the service mode, the following three test items are added after
“3. TEST RESULT LIST” of “9. TEST MODE.”

2.MAINTENANCE
3.SERVICE LIST
NOTE:
When the [1] and [3] keys are depress simultaneously upon power on, the
machine will enter continuous service mode and will remain in this mode
until power is turned off. To access the various service mode functions,
press the [MENU] and [9] keys (in sequence) and then select the desired
function. Remember to power the unit off once you’ve completed your
tests.
