17.2 Rear windows
a) Cut the windows to the pattern. Leave a little oversize at first.
b) There are two ways they can be fixed relative to the rear edge of the
windscreen:
1. On the UK Nynja demonstrator:
We overlapped with the rear windows sliding underneath the rear edge of the
windscreen by around 25mm and passing over the cabin cross tube centre.
Two strips of 3mm self adhesive foam was used underneath between lexan
and tube, and secured using self tapping screws and a strip of aluminium. We
also used an H section moulding (DIY shop item painted black) to join left and
right halves

2. Now used on the manufacturers demonstrator in France:
Supplied in the kit are strips of aluminium which can be used to fix the
lexan to and provide a flush butt join which could then be covered with
trim tape. The forward fixing line can be self tapping screws positioned
to pass through the tube centre. The rear coudl be rivets or the black
4mm plastic screws. 3mm foam packing could be used underneath
between the aluminium strip and the tube. In both fxing methods, take
care to allow for the seatbelts and not trap them!
