External data backup through the Ethernet interface

You can back up the system data files to your PC by means of a connected network drive. The

network drive functions based on the Ethernet connection between the control system and a

PC.

Creating and connecting a network drive

Prerequisite: A network connection has been established between the control system and the

PC. For more information about establishing Ethernet connections, see section "Configuring

the Ethernet connection (Page 41)".
Proceed as follows to create and connect a network drive:

Share a directory on your local disk on your PC.

Select the desired operating area on the PPU.
