■
Remove the bolts and clamp.
■
Place the handle bar in the bracket located on the
shaft.
■
Hold the stamping clamp and align the bolts into the
bracket.
■
Adjust the handle bar for best operator control in a
comfortable upright position.
■
Tighten bolts with the combination wrench to hold the
bike handle.

■
Insert the tab on the mounting bracket in the slot on
the blade guard.
■
Insert the screw into the blade guard.
■
Tighten the screw securely.
NOTE:
When using the string head, the grass de
fl
ector
must be attached to the blade guard.

■
Insert the two latches on the grass deflector to the
blade guard holes.
■
Align the screw on the grass deflector in the blade
guard hole.
■
Using the combination wrench supplied, tighten the
screw securely.

■
Place the combination wrench through the hole in the
upper flange washer and the hole in the gear box.
■
Align the nut in string head to gear box shaft.
■
Turn the string head counterclockwise by hand to
tighten, recommended torque is 6 N.M.
WARNING
Always stop the engine before making any adjustments,
such as changing cutting heads; this is to reduce the
risk of serious personal injury..
ATTACHING THE SHOULDER STRAP
NOTE:
Always use the shoulder strap with your
brushcutter.

Follow these steps to attach the shoulder strap.
■
Connect the latch on the strap to the strap hanger.
■
Adjust the strap to a comfortable position.
NOTE:
To quickly release the product from the shoulder
strap, sharply pull the quick release tab.

When using the string head, the blade guard must be

Arc™ blade, the blade guard must be attached without the
grass de

ector.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, always
stop the engine before making any adjustments such
as changing cutting heads..
WARNING
Be certain all knobs and fasteners are fully tightened
before operating the equipment. Periodically check for
tightness during use to avoid serious injury.
REMOVING THE STRING HEAD
■
Stop the engine.
■
Use combination wrench to turn the screw on the
grass deflector counterclockwise to loose, and then
depress two latches on the grass deflector to remove
from the blade guard.
■
Place the combination wrench through the hole in the
upper flange washer and the hole in the gear head.
■
Turn the string head clockwise by hand to remove.
NOTE:
Store the disassembled parts together for later
use.
