(Optional) Install the Server Into the Rack
1.
Push the slide-rails as far as possible into the slide-rail assemblies that are
mounted in the rack.
2.
Raise the server so that the ends of the mounting brackets are aligned with the
slide-rail assemblies that are mounted in the rack.
3.
Ensure that both the top and bottom mounting lips of the mounting brackets are
aligned with the slide-rails.
Caution -
Physical or component damage. The server might fall if the mounting brackets are
not inserted properly into the slide rails. Ensure that the mounting lips are properly aligned, and
then insert the brackets into the slide rails properly.
4. Insert the mounting brackets into the slide-rails and push the server into the
rack until the mounting brackets encounter the slide-rail stops (approximately
12 inches, or 30 cm) and the server rails lock the server into the maintenance
position.
