5.2.2 Checking the Operating State
Conduct a check of the operating state by the following steps.
Check there is cold air being released from the refrigeration/freezer showcase, and confirm the internal temperature
is reducing.
Turn the air-conditioner on using the remote controller.
(Do not frequently cool/heat changeover)
Check the thermostat turns OFF in the refrigerator/freezer/air-conditioner respectively.
(The standard time taken for the internal temperature of the freezer to change from normal temperature to -20°C is
approximately 40 minutes.)
Check the defrosting function runs normally in both the refrigerator and freezer.
(After defrost in complete, check the thermostat restarts and cooling recommences)
<Precautions during operation checks>
•
When turning the outdoor unit OFF, ensure the operation switch to the outdoor unit is turned OFF first before
switching the power OFF to the outdoor unit. (By turning OFF the operation switch of the outdoor unit, the outdoor
unit conducts stop control)
(While operating the booster unit, if the power of an outdoor unit is shut OFF without turning OFF its operation
switch, the compressor may be damaged next time the power is turned ON, because the booster unit keeps
operating for a while.)
•
When turning the indoor unit for air-conditioner OFF
When using the heating operation, switch the remote controller from heating to cooling. (This turns the four way
valve to the OFF position.)
After 15 minutes, turn the unit OFF using the ON/OFF button on the remote controller.
After an additional 5 minutes, turn the power of the indoor unit for air-conditioner OFF. (This is because of the
residual operation of the drain pump.)
(When conducting Step
, there are times when the EV of the indoor unit for air-conditioner is open. This is to
prevent an accumulation of refrigerant in the indoor unit for air-conditioner when the unit is OFF for long periods of
time and therefore preventing potential cooling failures in the showcase.)
•
When turning OFF the power of the booster unit, ensure that the operation switch of the outdoor unit or booster unit
is turned OFF, and then turn OFF the operation switch of the booster unit. (By turning OFF the operation switch of
the outdoor unit or booster unit, the booster unit controls the stop operation.)
When transmission between the outdoor unit and booster unit is abnormal, turning OFF the operation switch of the
outdoor unit will not be recognized by the booster unit. In this case, turn OFF the operation switch of the booster unit,
and then turn OFF the power of the booster unit.
•
Ensure the booster unit power is turned OFF whenever conducting such activities as charging refrigerant, closing off
all liquid stop valves, or running the outdoor unit while containing the low pressure.
•
When checking the defrost function of the freezer, check the electric heater used for defrosting is connected to
power. (If the peak temperature does not exceed 0°C when defrosting, there is a possibility the electric heater is not
connected to power.)
<Precautions during AIRNET test operation>
•
When conducting AIRNET test operation, ensure you conduct the tests when the system is stopped (compressor is
stopped).
•
When pressing the "RESET button" during such times as service inspections, ensure the system is stopped
(compressor is stopped).
