Function
(1)
Inverter compressor (INV.)
M1C
An inverter-driven compressor, which runs at operating frequencies in the
range of 57Hz to 297Hz. Operates as low stage side (for refrigeration) of
2-stage compression.
(2)
Oil separator
—
Refrigerant gas discharged from the compressor contains lubricating oil in
the compressor. If this lubricating oil is present in large quantity, the oil
quantity in the compressor run low, which may result in defective
lubrication. Furthermore, this oil stains the heat transfer surface of the
condenser or evaporator and reduces the effectiveness of the former. To
avoid this, an oil separator is installed in close proximity to the discharge
pipe of the compressor, where oil is separated and collected to return to the
compressor.
(3)
Stop valve (Discharge side)
—
For discharge gas (freezer side)
(4)
Stop valve (Liquid inlet side)
—
For liquid (freezer side)
(5)
Pressure regulating valve
(With stop valve)
—
Releases liquid refrigerant to prevent liquid sealing.
(6)
Electronic expansion valve
(Liquid injection)
Y1E
Used to keep the discharge pipe temperature at freezer side constant.
(7)
Electronic expansion valve
(Subcooling)
Y2E
Controls injection refrigerant for freezing storage subcooling.
(8)
Pressure sensor (Low
pressure)
S1NPL
Used to detect low pressure and control the compressor of the booster unit.
(9)
High pressure switch
S1PH
This switch is activated at a high pressure of 2.5 MPa or more to stop the
compressor (M1C) for booster unit operation.
(10)
Service port
—
(11)
Fan motor
reference P.19
M1F
Performs cooling down inverter substrate.
(12)
Double pipe type heat
exchanger
—
Removes subcooling of liquid refrigerant for freeing storage.
(13)
Thermistor (Discharge
pipe)
R2T
Used to detect the discharge pipe temperature of the compressor (M1C) for
the booster unit and control this compressor (M1C) for protection.
(14)
Thermistor (Heat
exchanger inlet)
R3T
Used to detect the liquid refrigerant temperature, and control the degree of
superheating.
(15)
Thermistor (Heat
exchanger outlet)
R5T
Used to detect the liquid refrigerant temperature, and control the degree of
superheating.
