The Lynx firmware can be updated via the application’s web interface, which is
typically the recommended method, of via the boot loader. The boot loader method
must be used when specifically requested by the update instructions, or when the
application in the Lynx is not functioning (i.e. device does not boot up or cannot be
accessed through a web browser).
Please refer to the Release Notes included in the CD as they may contain update
information that may be version-specific.
Please note that some firmware updates may force parameters back to their factory-
default settings. Please backup your parameters as needed before performing the
update.
Be sure that all acquisitions have been turned off before performing the update.
During the update the device will reset; all communication and acquisition activities
will be aborted. If acquisition was active for SCA's, Counters, List/TList, or MSS,
any data in the internal acquisition buffers will be lost once the device resets.
