Horizontal Delay (µS)
This setting sets the full scale range in microseconds of the digital graph’s X-axis
for both plots. Note that as the scale increases, the capture resolution will
decrease. Resolution is maximum when the Horizontal Scale is set to its
minimum setting.
Shorter range is useful for close examinations of the signal processing; longer
ranges are useful when troubleshooting ground-loop signal noise issues.
Vertical Scale (%)
Adjusts the Y-axis range on the analog (upper) graph.
Vertical Offset (%)
Adjusts the Y-axis offset (DC baseline) on the analog (upper) graph.
Overlay Previous Traces
When selected this setting provides a limited trace history with variable intensity,
with brightest being the newest trace, for both analog and digital traces.
Average Sweeps
You can choose the number of sweeps (captures) to average; this is used to
smooth the analog trace and provide a more stable view. This feature may be
useful when optimizing pole zero setting or examining the baseline’s noise
characteristics.
Pileup reject
Pileup reject will qualify the capture logic to reject those captures that include
signals with pileup conditions. This feature is useful when optimizing the pole
zero setting or examining the baseline’s noise characteristics.
Trigger Mode
Trigger mode provides the ability to select from three options to Manually,
Singularly, or Continuously trigger the acquisition (captures) of the signals.
•
If you select “Manual”, the scope will display the signals at the time the
button is press.
•
If you select the “
Single
”, a single capture will occur; thereafter, you
must press the
Arm
button in order to re-enable the capture logic and
wait for a new trigger condition to occur. Pressing the
Trigger
button
will force an unconditional trigger, and therefore an unconditional
capture even if no trigger condition exists.
•
If you select “
Continuous
”, continuous captures will occur as long as the
selected trigger condition is met. No need to manually “Arm” the capture
logic in order to allow it to operate.
