Using Batch File
Note: Using the batch file sets all the parameters to the default and only prompts for
the Lynx’s IP address.
1.
Verify your Lynx is functional and online: connected to the network or
directly to a Windows-10 PC with a Ethernet crossover cable. Verify
connection to the Lynx using the command line PING command.
2.
Copy folder “Tools” containing Firmware Updater utility to your local hard
drive.
3.
On the Lynx CD locate the NK.bin file in Firmware folder.
4.
Copy NK.bin to the same “Tools\Windows10” folder on local hard drive.
5.
Run FirmwareUpdater.bat from “Tools\Windows10” folder.
6.
When prompted, provide IP address of the Lynx you choose to update
firmware for.
7.
Wait for the process to complete, and then wait a min or 2 more for Lynx to
reboot and initialize.
Using EXE File from Command Line
1.
Verify your Lynx is functional and online: connected to the network or
directly to a Windows-10 PC with a Ethernet crossover cable. Verify
connection to the Lynx using the command line PING command.
2.
Copy folder “Tools” containing Firmware Updater utility to local hard drive.
3.
Open Command prompt (CMD) and, using CD command, navigate to
“Tools\Windows10” folder.
4.
Run FirmwareUpdater.exe with the desired arguments to update the
firmware. Please refer to the “LynxFirmwareUpdater.exe and arguments”
section below.
5.
Wait for the process to complete, and then wait a min or 2 more for Lynx to
reboot and initialize.
