Disc. Mode
Defines the discriminator mode. Note when set to TTL you must use the MCS
BNC. Otherwise, you must use the Energy BNC.
•
MCS Fast Discriminator sees any counts converted by the MCA.
•
TTL picks up the signals to be counted from the external connector.
•
ROI counts only those events in a limited Region of Interest.
Start Channel
defines the start channel.
End Channel
defines the end channel. Note the maximum value is
defined by the PHA Input Size (also known as the PHA Conversion
Gain) and not the MCS Input Size.
The
Advanced
tab describes the signals for sweep and channel advance.
Figure 51: Advanced Acquisition Settings for Input 2
Channel Polarity
defines the polarity of the channel advance signal as
Positive
or
Negative
.
Channel Mode
enables (when
ON
) the external channel advance mode. MCS
acquisition will advance from one channel to the next when a TTL pulse is
received on the CH ADV BNC.
Sweep Polarity
defines the polarity of the sweep advance signal as
Positive
or
Negative
.
Sweep Mode
enables (when
ON
) the external sweep advance mode. MCS
acquisition will wait at the end of the current sweep, and advance to the next
sweep when a TTL pulse is received on the SWEEP ADV BNC.
