Clicking on the
Synchronize
button will transfer your computer’s local
date and time to the Lynx. A small lag in time is normal because of command
processing and communication transit times.
•
Delta
displays the difference between the Lynx’s date and time and your
local computer’s date and time. This field is dynamically updated every 2-3
seconds. Small variations in the reported delta between updates are expected
because of command processing and communication transit times.
•
Device Log:
The Device log contains an audit of all changes and events that
occurred on the device. The text file can be examined with a standard text
editor such a Notepad.
Clicking on the
Download
button will download the Device log as a text
file from the Lynx to your local computer.
Print Spectrum
This option lets you view and print the current spectral plot and acquisition
information.
Security
This option lets you change the administrative password on the device. In order to
change the password you must enter a new password and press the
Update
button.

Once the password has been changed, any access that requires administrative
privileges will require the new password to be entered. Leaving the Password field
blank and then clicking on
Update
will result in an error message.
The
Web site
login required
checkbox is used to enforce logging into the device
during application startup.
