Refer to the individual
Gate Mode
settings above for additional information on the
usage of this setting.
Input Gate Delay (µS)
The Input Gate Delay applies a delay value in 0.1 µSec resolution to the external gate
pulse to define the gating pulse used by the gating logic. The delay is applied
beginning with the leading edge of the external gate pulse.
Refer to the individual
Gate Mode
settings above for additional information on the
usage of this setting.
Input Pulse Width (µS)
The Input Pulse Width applies a width value in 0.1 µSec resolution to the external
gate pulse to define the gating pulse used by the gating logic. The delay is applied
beginning with the leading edge of the gate pulse, however the minimum pulse width
used by the gating logic is set by the width of the external gating pulse. Range is 0.1
to 10.0 µSec.
Refer to the individual
Gate Mode
settings above for additional information on the
usage of this setting.
External Controls
The External Control tab displays settings for performing external acquisition
control.
Figure 49: External Control Acquisition Settings
Control
None
disables external start/stop, meaning that start of acquisition is controlled by the
Start
button, and stop is controlled by the
Stop
button or preset conditions. Enabling
the External Control logic allows a signal present at the rear panel
PHA ACQ SS
(for
PHA) or
MCS ACQ SS
(for MCS) connector to control the storage of data once the
acquisition has been ‘armed’ with a Start acquire command.
Note: In all cases, whether or not External Control has been enabled, once
acquisition has been armed, the sample changer’s RDY input must be “ready”
for storage to begin, otherwise the start of acquisition will be deferred until
the “ready” condition is met.
