Windows will automatically run the RNDIS client setup and create a USB
adapter labeled DSA3K USB Remote NDIS adapter. If you get pop-ups in
this process, acknowledge them to allow this installation to proceed. You will
see this adapter in the Network Connections window in the steps below.

After auto-discovery is finished, it may take a brief period of time before the
USB connection functions. Wait until it appears to complete this process.

Right-click on the
My Network Places
icon and select
Properties
. This
will bring up the Network Connections window.

Right-click on the icon for the new USB connection, labeled “DSA3K USB
Remote NDIS adapter”. Select
Properties
for this RNDIS adapter.
7.
Select the
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
or
Internet Protocol Version 4
(
TCP/IPv4
) for Windows 7, and then click on
Properties
. The Internet
Protocol Properties page opens. This sets up the client side (e.g., your PC's
end) of the USB connection to some otherwise-unused address.
