Working with Cards
Addressbook documents are referred to as . Addressbooks
contain a series of , or , much like the cards in a real card
file. Each card contains the name, address, phone numbers, and notes you
enter for each person. On the screen, each record looks like a Rolodex

card. Once you fill in the blanks, the application stores the card as a
record in your Addressbook file.
The first time you use Addressbook, it automatically creates a document
called First Addressbook." You can start entering names, addresses, and
phone numbers in this Addressbook right away. You will enter the
information into different boxes for the index, address, and phone. Each
one of these boxes for entering data is a of data.
Creating and Adding New Cards
You can easily create newcards and add them to your Addressbook. You
start with a blank card and then type information into three fields: the
index field, the address field, and the phone number field. The following
illustration shows these fields:
