Broadcasting Messages
When you intend to boot or reset RACs, you should send a message to
all terminals connected to the affected RACs, letting users know of the
upcoming operation.
This section tells you how to communicate quickly with all terminals
connected to the RACs you select to boot or reset.
To send a message:
1.
Create a RAC list and select one or more RACs (page 2-1).
2.
Select the Configure menu and click
Broadcast
.
The
Broadcast
window displays (
Figure 5-5
).

Choose the
Broadcast Destination
you need.
You can select
All
,
Async,
or
Virtual
. For instructions see The
Broadcast Window on page 5-13.
4.
Enter your message text in the
Broadcast Message
box.
Your message can contain up to 128 characters in any number of
lines.

Click
Apply
.
