Framing selects the superframe format used on the T1/E1
Network interface. Your selection must match the format
supplied by the telephone company. The choices are:

ESF and D4 for T1
–
dDF, MFF_CRC4, and MFF_CRC4_G706 for E1

Line code selects the T1/E1 Network interface. Your selection
must match the codes supplied by the telephone company. The
choices are:
–
B8ZS and AMI for T1
–
AMI and ITDB3 for E1
•
Ring Back controls the audible ring for incoming calls. This
parameter is useful only when you select wink or immediate in
the Signalling box. Choose yes to enable or no to disable
ringback.

The
Protocol
box includes Signalling and Direction.
•
Signalling radio buttons indicate the protocols supported
by each T1 DSO channel. Choose one of the following:
–
Wink
–
Ground
–
Loop
–
Immediate
•
Direction check buttons determine whether a channel
transmits and/or receives data. Choose Outbound, Inbound,
or both Inbound and Outbound for bi-directional.
DNIS Provisioning Box
The
DNIS Provisioning
box allows you to set the number of DNIS digits that
the channelized WAN interface is provisioned to provide. Typical values
are between 4 and 10. The default value is 0 and the maximum is 255.
