Service Parameters
The following session parameters are associated with service configuration:
Session identifier— number to differentiate each session
Service type — service of Subscriber Accounting Management Interface Specification (SAMIS-1) or CPE
Session method — method of Time, Event, or Adhoc
Report cycle set — can be set using range of minimum 15 minutes to a maximum 24 hours (1440 minutes) for Time
and Event sessions only
Data acknowledgment controls — maximum limits on DATA-ACK message delivery by the collector
Record suppression — allow or suppress SAMIS-1 interim records with counter values that have not changed since last
session interval in Time sessions only
Event pacing gap — insert up to a 30 second delay between bursts of exported event session records.
Common Parameters
The following parameters are common:
Mode — DOCSIS version 2.0 or 3.0 operation
Query port — exporter UDP port number used by collector for service discovery
Streaming port — exporter TCP port number used by collector to establish the IPDR streaming connection
Keep-alive interval — maximum gap allowed by exporter for keep-alive messages from collector
Collector — IP address and redundancy priority of each collector
The C4/c CMTS IPDR Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) is included in each exported IPDR record. The IPDR FQDN is
statically configured using the C4/c CMTS CLI.
The IPDR FQDN is composed of the:
Hostname
Default domain name, such as host.defdomain.net.
The hostname is configured with the
configure hostname
command and the default domain name is configured with
the configure ip domain-name command.
If the default domain name is empty, then the hostname is used as the IPDR FQDN.
