5. Remove the inlet air duct, air filter housing, and
air silencer duct; then remove the carburetor and
set aside leaving the throttle cable attached.

6. Remove the cap screws securing the exhaust pipe
to the cylinder head; then disconnect the exhaust
pipe to muffler springs and remove the exhaust
pipe. Account for a grafoil seal and seal ring.

7. Disconnect the gear position switch, starter cable,
and engine ground cable; then disconnect the trig-
ger coil and stator coil connectors.
