5.3.5. Flags on WBC/BAS histogram

L1 flag (CBC and DIFF mode)

MB flag (DIFF mode only)
Meaning : Mono BAS
This flag occurs when the percentage of basophils found in the BAS channel is above the per-
centage of Lympho/Mono/Neutro raw counts, found in the LMNE matrix channel.

BASO+ (DIFF mode only)
I f the BAS % exceeds 50 %, a BASO+ flag is generated.
The Basophils will not be removed from the LMNE Matrix populations and a «---» will be dis-
played instead of the BAS % and BAS #.
This alarm appears in the «Analyzer Alarms» area on the screen and on the printout.

L1 flag is established according to
the ratio of the cells counted be-
tween the 0 channel and BA1.
L1 indicates the presence of an ab-
normal number of cells in
comparison with leukocytes.
Suspected abnormalities:
• PLT aggregates,
• NRBCs.
L1 flag is associated with an (!) on
WBC value and on absolute values of
the differencial parameters.
