Lower unit removal
NOTE:

It is possible to remove the Lower unit
from the upper case without removing
the power unit.

Set the shift lever
1
to “REVERSE“ posi-
tion, then remove and install the lower
unit.
1. Remove:
9 Grommet

2. Loosen:
9 Bolt
3
(shift rod connector)
3. Remove:
9 Bolt
1
(lower unit)
9 Lower unit

NOTE:
For long transom model:
9
When removing, screw out the bolt (rear)
from upper case and remove the lower
unit with extension.
9
When installing, hold the bolt (rear) in
hole of the extension and install the lower
unit with extension to the upper case.
