6. Control Panels
CECP
Power
There are 2 AC connectors, PS1 and PS2, for redundancy. You need not use both if you are not con-
cerned with redundancy.
Ethernet
The CECP has one RJ-45 Ethernet port. The CECP connects to the Ethernet switch of the master
control network.
It is on this network that the CECP communicates with MCPMs and with the configuration soft-
ware. You (or your system administrator) must provide a unique IP address for the CECP. Use the
Panel ID menu under the Panel Menu to set the IP address and IP subnet mask. The default IP
address is 192.168.7.100 and the subnet mask must always be 255.255.255.0.
GPI/Alarm
The CECP has a DB25 connector that supports GPI inputs, GPI outputs, and alarms:

CP Aux Connector
The CECP has a DB15 connector to which you connect the optional TLA. See Transition Lever
Arm on page 148. (CECP support for the TLA is not yet developed.)
Audio Metering Input
The CECP has a BNC connector to which you connect audio metering input (audio embedded in an
SD or HD video signal).
The metering input feeds the ‘Live Levels’ display under the panel’s audio menu. The metering
output of an MCE is a suitable audio source for the ‘Live Levels’ display.
The CECP M1 has 2 metering input connectors, A and B. The CECP M1 also has a button function
that allows the operator to select either metering input. Both metering input connectors are BNCs.
The audio metering input is not generally related to the CECP’s audio metering outputs. However,
if inputs come from an MCE under control of the panel, then there is a relationship.
