Use remote sensing to maintain the specified load regulation with paralleled units. Sense wires
can either be daisy-chained or all connected directly to the sense point at the load. Twist the
sense wire pair. Do not mix remote sensing with local sensing.
Although the following figures show the recommended use of remote sensing, local sensing may be
used if absolutely necessary. With local sensing however, the sharing circuits will work properly only if
the voltage drop measured
between the local sense points of any unit to the local sense points of any
other paralleled unit is less than 0.5% of the maximum voltage rating of the units.

SHOCK HAZARD, LETHAL VOLTAGES - Some models generate output voltages up to
160 VDC! Ensure that all instrument connections, load wiring, load and sense
connections are insulated using high-voltage wire. Always attach the safety cover
provided, so that no accidental contact with lethal voltages can occur.
The cable lengths shown are not to scale. All load cables pairs must be symmetrical and of equal
length for best performance. Size the load cables according to the current rating of the unit. Plus
cables should be bundled with minus cables. Although the drawing shows units side by side for clarity,
they may also be stacked on top of each other.
