Measure the thickness of valve head. If the
thickness is less than the service limit, replace
the valve with a new one. (Fig. 3.66)

Inspect the valve stem end face (A) for pitting
and wear. If pitting or wear noticed, replace the

the length is smaller than the service limit,
replace the springs. (Fig. 3.68)

Tensioner cam chain

Inspect the tensioner cam chain for any
distortion / damage, cuts or crack. If found any
of the above, replace the tensioner with new

After assembling the tensioner cam chain,
make sure it moves freely in the cylinder head
assembly.
