Piston valve - disassembly
l
Remove holder jet needle using a allen key and
take out the holder jet needle along with a
spring. (Fig. 4.21)

Push jet needle from the bottom and remove
the jet needle. (Fig. 4.22)
l
Inspect the jet needle, piston valve assembly
for any damage / deformation. Found if any
replace the respective parts with a new one.
l
Reassemble the jet needle in the reverse order
of the removal.
l
After assembling, make sure that the jet
needle moves up and down on side ways by
light finger force.
MAINTENANCE
l
Maintaining a full level of fuel in the fuel tank
does not allow it to rust and also reduces the
rust deposition in the carburettor assembly.
l
While the choke lever is in ‘ON’ position, do
not open the throttle otherwise it may cause
flooding of the carburettor.
l
Clean the filter complete air cleaner regularly,
since the blocked or damaged air filter will have
adverse effect on carburettor assembly and
results in reduced engine performance.
CLEANING
l
Spray the carburettor cleaner in all passages of
the carburettor body (Fig. 4.23) to ensure no
blockage due to dust, dirt, gum or carbon
deposit.
