from both LH & RH mounting wheel hugger

Similarly, loosen the chain adjuster bolts (A and
B) to some extended in order to remove the
chain. (Fig. 2.96B)

Remove the hexagonal bolts (M6x12 - 2 nos.)
along with the washers from the chain guard.

Tightening torque
8 ± 2 Nm

Push the rear wheel from the back towards
front so that the drive chain loosens and hangs
as shown. (Fig. 2.98)
l
Now, lift the chain guard upward. Gently take
out the drive chain by dislocating it from the
rear sprocket and swing arm assembly.
l
Clean the drive chain by dipping it in kerosene.
Brush off any dirt / dust sticking to it.
l
Drain / dry the kerosene by hanging the chain
for 5 minutes.
