3.
Cautions
Electric power should be off before the maintenance.
- If connecting or disconnecting while power is ON,
electronic parts may be damaged by electric shock.
When removing M6 joints, wipe up the water flown from tube.
- If water is carried into electric parts such as sensors, they
may be damaged.
3.3.4. Exchange of U-packing
This pump consists of SP-1 (for washing) and SP-2 (for samples).
The procedure of U-packing exchange is the same, so the following explanation is
done for SP-1.
1)
Remove sample pump form the
system. (Refer to 3.3.3. Unit
dismantling)
2) Loosen pump head fixing screws (two)
and pull out them from unit to remove.
3) Loosen screws and remove the pump
from pump head.
4) Remove spacer form pump head with
tweezers.
5) Take out U-packing from pump head,
using
tweezers
- U-packing is inserted in pump
head very tightly. So take it out
forcibly.
- Take care not to scratch inside
of pump head with the tips of
tweezers.
6)
Apply a little silicon oil around
rubber of U-packing, and insert it
in pump head with tweezers
- Silicon oil helps it easier to
insert U-packing in pump head.
7) After inserting spacer in pump head,
tighten screw lightly.
8) After installing pump head to the
body, tighten fixing screws firmly.
