3.6. Reagent Pump (RP)
3.6.1. Parts and Configuration
- Refer to “ASSY-8 RP” for the unit assembly drawing.
- Refer to “WIRING-11 RP” for the unit wiring diagram.
3.6.2. Function and Action
1.
Function
Reagent, dilluent and washing solution, etc. are aspirated from reagent bottle at
the amount of designated plus small excess, then dispensed designated amount
into reaction cuvettes.
The amount of reagent can be set as follows.
- 20 micro-liter – 350 micro-liter (Variable by 5 micro-liter step)
Separation air volume which prevents mixing of reagent and water in the tube and
excess sample amount to increase accuracy of dispense volume are set as follows.
- Separation air volume (To prevent mixing of washing water and sample.)
20 micro-liter (constant)
- Excess amount (To increase dispense accuracy.)
10 micro-liter (constant)
At reagent aspiration, designated reagent volume (20 – 350 micro-liter) plus excess
volume (10 micro-liter) is aspirated after separation air 20 micro-liter is aspirated.
At reagent dispensation, designated reagent volume (20 – 350 micro-liter) is
dispensed into reaction cuvettes.
