3.2.1. Parts and Configuration
- Refer to “ASSY-4 STM” for the unit assembly drawing.
- Refer to “WIRING-7 STM” for the unit wiring diagram.
3.2. Function and Action
1. Function
Various samples, such as patient, standard and control samples, are aspirated
from sample cups at the amount of designated plus small excess then dispensed
designated amount into cuvettes.
Sample probe itself has level sensing function. When it detects sample level,
probe stops going down. Then the fixed amount (designated plus excess) will be
aspirated by sample pump.
After aspiration, probe goes up and rotates to above the cuvette position, goes
down into a cuvette, and again detects the first reagent level. Here the
designated amount of sample is dispensed into the reagent.
After the dispensation, probe goes up and rotates to above the washing pot and
then goes down into the pot. Then the both inside and outside of probe are
washed. The excess sample in the probe is washed out by inside washing water.
After that, water droplet at the probe tip is sucked up in the pot.
