3.5 Reagent Pipette (RTM)
3.5.1. Parts and Configuration
- Refer to “ASSY-7 RTM” for the unit assembly drawing.
- Refer to “WIRING-10 RTM” for the unit wiring diagram.
3.5.2. Function and Action
1. Function
Reagent, dilluent and washing solution, etc. are aspirated from reagent bottle at
the amount of designated plus small excess, then dispensed designated amount
into reaction cuvettes.
Reagent probe itself has level sensing function. When the tip of probe detects
reagent level, probe stops going down. Then the fixed amount (designated plus
excess) will be aspirated by reagent pump.
After aspiration, probe goes up and rotates to above the cuvette position and goes
down into a cuvette, and stops at the set level. Here the designated amount of
reagent is dispensed by reagent pump.
After the dispensation, probe goes up and rotates to above the washing pot and
then goes down into the pot. Then the both inside and outside of probe are
washed and the excess reagent in the probe is washed out by inside washing
solution. After that, water droplet at the probe tip is sucked up in the pot.
