5-6 Image Optimization
Operation
Adjust through the [A. power] item in the soft menu or menu.
The adjusting range vary depending upon probe types.
Effects
Generally, increasing the acoustic power will increase the brightness and
contrast of the image as well as the force of penetration.
Impacts
You should perform exams according to actual situation and follow the
ALARA Principle.
Focus
Description
Refers to adjustment of focus of the ultrasonic beams, symbols as " " of
which are displayed on the right of the image.
Operation
Adjust the focus number through the [Focus Number] in the soft menu or
menu.
Adjust the focus position through the [Focus Position] in the soft menu or
menu.
Effects
The area that is focused will be of a higher contrast and resolution to
provide a much clearer image.
Impacts
The greater the number of focus, the slower the frame rate to image.
Imaging Display Adjustment
Description
More information can be obtained without moving the probe or changing
the sampling position.
FOV (Field
of View)
Change the scan range through the [FOV] item in the soft menu or menu.
You can get a much larger field of view when selecting a larger FOV, but
the frame rate will decrease.
FOV
Position
Change the scan position through the [FOV Position] item in the soft menu
or menu.
When the scan range is "W”, the FOV position cannot be changed.
B Steer
This function is to steer the beam transmitted by the probe.
Steer the transmitting beam through the [B Steer] item in the soft menu or
menu.
The steering angles vary depending upon the probe types.
Trapezoid
Turn on or off the function through [Trapezoid] item in the soft menu or
menu.
You can define user-defined key for trapezoid function in "[Setup] ->
[System Preset] -> [Key Config]".
ExFOV
Turn on or off the function through [ExFOV] item in the soft menu or menu.
You can define user-defined key for ExFOV function in "[Setup] -> [System
Preset] -> [Key Config]".
Impacts
The FOV position is available only for the convex and phased probes.
The B Steer and Trapezoid function are available only for linear probes.
The ExFOV function is available only for convex probes.
