Monitor Installation
The monitor can be installed in various ways as required.

3.2.1
Unpacking and Checking
Before unpacking, examine the packing case carefully for signs of damage. If any damage is detected, contact
the carrier or us.
If the packing case is intact, open the package and remove the equipment and accessories carefully. Check all
materials against the packing list and check for any mechanical damage. Contact us in case of any problem.
3.2.2
Environmental Requirements
The operating environment of the equipment must meet the requirements specified in this manual.
The environment where the equipment is used shall be reasonably free from noises, vibration, dust, corrosive,
flammable and explosive substances. If the equipment is installed in a cabinet, sufficient space in front and
behind shall be left for convenient operation, maintenance and repair. Moreover, to maintain good ventilation,
the equipment shall be at least 2 inches (5cm) away from around the cabinet.
When the equipment is moved from one place to another, condensation may occur as a result of temperature or
humidity difference. In this case, never start the system before the condensation disappears.
3.3
Setting Up the Equipment
Observance of this manual is a prerequisite for proper product performance and correct operation. It ensures
patient and operator safety.
3.3.1
Connecting the AC Mains
The monitor is powered by AC power supply. Before connecting the equipment to the AC mains, check that the
voltage and frequency ratings of the power line are the same as those indicated besides the AC power input.
To use the AC power source, follow this procedure:
1.
Connect the female end of the power cord with the AC power input.
2.
Connect the male end of the power cord with a wall AC outlet.
3.
Check that the power indicator is on.
The AC indicator is off if the AC mains is not connected. When AC mains is connected, the AC indicator is
illuminated in green.
WARNING
•
Always use the accompanying power cord delivered with the monitor.
•
Before connecting the equipment to the AC mains, check that the voltage and frequency ratings of
the power line are the same as those indicated besides the AC power input.
•
Use the cable retainer to secure the power cord to prevent it from falling off.
•
Use the battery if the integrity of the protective earth conductor or the protective earthing system in
the installation is in doubt.
