Setup Overview

1. 

Connect one VNM EC 200 to the control PC and change the default IP address (see 

Configuring the Network Settings (Eth0)

 on page 162).

2. 

Use a network switch to connect the primary VN-Matrix network to the rear panel 
LAN A Ethernet connector (eth

0

) of each VNM EC 200 (see 

Rear Panel Features

 on 

page 8).

3. 

Use an RJ-45 crossover cable to connect the VNM EC 200 LAN B (eth1) Ethernet 
connectors together (see 

figure 2

 on page 3 and 

Rear Panel Features

 on 

page 8).

4. 

Power on each VNM EC 200, all VN-Matrix devices present in the system, and all 
necessary devices (see 

Power Up Procedure

 on page 10).

5. 

Connect a control PC to the VN-Matrix network and navigate to the Web-based user 
interface of each VNM EC 200 (see 

Accessing the Web‑based User Interface

 on 

page 11) .

6. 

Configure the settings of each VNM EC 200 (see 

Configuring Dual VNM EC 200s

 on 

page 162). 

7. 

Configure the VNM EC 200 pair to act as the controller for the VN-Matrix system (see
