Configuring Dual VNM EC 200s
This section details how to set up and configure dual (redundant) VNM EC 200s.
Configuring the Network Settings (Eth0)
NOTES:
•
The VNM EC 200s should not be paired when configuring the network settings.
For information on how to unpair previously paired VNM EC 200s, see
•
Be aware that unpairing and then pairing a VNM EC 200 deletes device
configuration files, presets, and custom input or output modes.
•
Each VNM EC 200 must use an IP address that contains the same network prefix
(for example:
192.168.xxx.xxx
) and subnet.
•
Each VNM EC 200 must use the same subnet mask address.
Each VNM EC 200 is pre-configured with the following network settings.
IP address:
192.168.254.254
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
Gateway:
192.168.254.1
MTU:
1500
NOTES:
•
With these default settings, devices connected to the VN-Matrix network must use
IP addresses within the range of 192.168.254.2 through 192.168.254.253 and use
the same subnet mask.
•
Each VNM EC 200 has a default IP address of 192.168.254.254. This IP must be
changed on one of the EC 200s before configuration for dual operation.
In the following examples:
•
VNM EC 200 #1 is the redundant primary and has an IP address of
192.168.254.254
.
•
VNM EC 200 #2 is the redundant secondary and has an IP address of
192.168.254.253
.
•
The cluster IP address is
192.168.254.250
.
Use the following procedure to change the network settings of
each
VNM EC 200.
1.
Connect only
ONE
VNM EC 200 to the network the PC controller is connected to.
2.
Accessing the Web‑based User Interface
