The rear panel of the VNM EC 200 is shown in figure 7 below.

Power input (IEC connector) 

— Plug a standard IEC power cord into this 

connector to connect the controller to a 100 to 240 VAC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz power 
source. The EC 200 automatically starts.

DisplayPort connector 

—

 

for connection of a compatible display.

HDMI connector 

— for connection of a compatible display.

D

 

USB (Universal Serial Bus) connectors 

— Two USB port connections for 

mouse and keyboard control during configuration.

Lan A connector (eth0) 

— Connect an RJ-45 cable to this port. This port 

connects to a primary network and is the default network port to connect the 
controller to a VN-Matrix network.

Lan B connector (eth1) 

— Connect an RJ-45 cable to this port. This port 

connects to a second VNM EC 200 and is used to monitor the status of the 
primary VNM EC 200 in a redundant configuration. This port is also referred to as 
the "cluster" or "service" port.

VGA connector 

— Connect a compatible VGA monitor to this port.

H

 

RS‑232 connector 

— Connect a host computer or control system to this 

connector. This port can control the VNM EC 200 using HLI commands (see 

System Control

 on page 178).

Reset button and indicator LED 

— The VNM Enterprise Controller 200 has two 

reset modes to restore default configuration settings or all settings back to factory 
defaults. The LED indicates the desired reset mode, and provides the reset status 
during the reset operation (see 

EC 200 Rear Panel Reset

 on page 9).

Recessed power button

 — Press to initiate a safe shut down of the system.

NOTE:

  When the EC 200 has been shut down using the power button, there are 

two ways to start it again:

• 

Remove the power input (see figure 7, 

A

) and plug it back in.

• 

Press the recessed power button momentarily (

).
