
Remote Communication and Control Using SIS Commands
The VNM EC 200 can be remotely connected via a host computer or other device (such
as a control system) to the front panel USB Config port. That allows the VNM EC 200 to
be reset and provides limited configuration using Simple Instruction Set (SIS) commands.
SIS commands are executed using the Extron DataViewer program, found on the Extron
Website at

Front Panel Configuration Port
The mini type B USB port is located on the front panel (see

To connect the EC 200 to a host computer:

If an Extron USB device has never been connected to the host computer, prior to
connecting the EC 200 config (USB) port for the first time, you must install and activate
the USB driver. The simplest way to do this is to install Dataviewer (see

After the USB driver is loaded, connect a USB A to mini B cable between the Config
port on the EC 200 front panel and a USB port of the PC.
