TXON_n
Transmitter ON:
This READ/WRITE bit-field permits the user to either turn on
or turn off the Transmit Driver of XRT86VL38. If the user turns
on the Transmit Driver, then XRT86VL38 will begin to trans-
mit DS1 or E1 data (on the line) via the TTIP and TRING out-
put pins.
Conversely, if the user turns off the Transmit Driver, then the
TTIP and TRING output pins will be tri-stated.
0 = Shuts off the Transmit Driver associated with the
XRT86VL38 device and tri-states the TTIP and TRING output
pins.
1 = Turns on the Transmit Driver associated with the
XRT86VL38 device.
N
OTE
: If the user wishes to exercise software control over
the state of the Transmit Driver of the XRT86VL38, then it is
imperative that the user pull the TxON pin to a logic “HIGH”
level.

LOOP2_n
Loop-Back control bit 2:
This READ/WRITE bit-field together with the LOOP1 and
LOOP0 bits (bit D1 and D0 within this register) control the
Loop-Back Modes of the LIU section of the XRT86VL38.
The XRT86VL38 supports four different loopback modes:
they are Dual Loop Back, Analog Loop Back, Remote Loop
Back, and Digital Loop Back. The following table presents the
four different Loop Back modes according to the settings of
LOOP[2:0]:
