Script Commands

NOTE:

When using this command, you can specify one or more of the parameters.

You do not, however, need to use all of the parameters. Using too many parameters

can cause host I/O errors or result in internal controller reboots because the time

period ends before the disk group definition is set.

NOTE:

Host I/O errors might result in disk groups with more than 32 virtual disks.

This operation also might result in internal RAID controller module reboots because

the timeout period ends before the disk group definition is set. If you experience this

issue, quiesce the host I/O operations, and try the command again.

Set Disk Group Forced State

This command moves a disk group into a Forced state. Use this command if

the

start diskGroup import

command does not move the disk group to an

Imported state or if the import operation does not work because of hardware

errors. In a Forced state, the disk group can be imported, and you can then

identify the hardware errors.

Syntax

set diskGroup [diskGroupName] forcedState

Parameter

NOTE:

You can move the physical disks that comprise a disk group from one

storage array to another storage array. The CLI provides three commands that let

you move the physical disks. The commands are start diskGroup export, start

diskGroup import, and set diskGroup forcedState. In the Forced state, you can

perform an import operation on the disk group.

addPhysical
Disks

Identifies the physical disk by tray and slot location to include in

the disk group. Tray ID values are 0 to 99. Slot ID values are 0

to 31. You must put parentheses around the tray ID values and the

slot ID values.
