Important!
During this procedure it is not necessary to power off the device, but make sure that no
scanning operation has been started.
The procedure of the removal is the following:
1.
Open service door (see section
9.5.1 Opening the service door
).
2.
Locate condenser unit under the stage and objectives.
3.
Move locking lever (
1
) downwards to release the lock.
4.
Hold the condenser unit (
2
) by its handle and pull it outwards.
5.
Place the condenser unit onto a piece of cloth (lint-free and clean).
Follow the below steps to ensure the unit is in good condition:
1.
Check the surface of the condenser lens. If it needs cleaning, use a lens cleaning brush to
remove dust particles. If there remain some particles visible on the lens, use a clean lens
cleaning cloth, and gently rub the surface with circular motions.
2.
Check the unit for mechanical damages or dust on the surfaces of the dovetail joint area.
Clean the surfaces if necessary or replace unit if damaged.
