Two Name Mode Conditions and Considerations
With the
2 Names
option selected, the following conditions apply:
• You can only use the
Small
or
Small Invert Font
options. Choosing other font sizes
either in the Personality Menu or in the naming menus will cause the mnemonic displays
to use the
1 Name
option and display only the non shifted crosspoint names.
• 8 character names are truncated to the 6 characters per row that are displayed. The two
last characters are left off the display.
• If you select the Standard font option in the naming menus, the mnemonic displays will
still display 2 names in small fonts.
This completes the procedure to configure settings for the Mnemonic Display option.
PIP-II Mem
To use this function, ensure that the Peripheral Interface II Protocol option is installed and
configured. If not, please contact Ross Video for details.
Refer to the section “ Installing Software Options ” on page 2–41 for instructions on verifying the
status of installed options. For configuration procedures, refer to the section “ Peripheral Interface II
Protocol Setup ” on page 7–10.
Use the following procedure to enable Synergy memory store and recall functions to all devices:
1. Navigate to the Personality Menu 3-4 as follows:
• Press HOME B MORE B Setup B Personality B MORE B MORE .

2. Press PIP-II Mem to toggle between Send and No Send as follows:
• Send — When Send is selected, every time the Synergy does a memory store or
recall, the corresponding command is sent to every PIP-II device to store or recall
its settings in the same memory number as was specified for Synergy. In this way,
the current settings for all of the PIP-II devices can be coordinated with Synergy.
• No Send — When No Send is selected, no memory commands are sent to
devices. This is the default setting.
This concludes the procedure to enable Synergy memory store and recall functions to all devices.
