softkey to store the S&T 3D Sequence file to a storage device.
When the file is saved, this menu closes and the previous menu is displayed, with a file
icon beside the disk location where the memory register is saved.

6. Eject the storage device from the switcher.
7. Label the storage device and store it in a safe place.
This completes the procedure for storing your individual S&T 3D sequences to a storage device.
Recalling Registers
Synergy switchers recall memory registers to MLEs based on the number of MLEs of that control
panel. Memory registers stored on the Program Bus of a Synergy 4 Switcher will be recalled on the
Program Bus of a Synergy 3 Switcher. However, if you store memories from another MLE, for
example, on MLE 3 for a Synergy 4 Switcher, the memory registers will be recalled to MLE 2 on a
Synergy 3 Switcher.
The Synergy system allows you to recall all categories of registers from a storage device or you can
simply recall the desired individual category. This section includes information on recalling categories
of registers. For information on recalling individual memory registers, refer to the section “ Recalling
Individual Memory Registers ” on page 8–33.
Recalling Registers from a Storage Device
Use the following procedure to recall registers from a storage device:
1. Ensure that your current on-line set of registers are saved to a storage device. If you
have not saved them to a storage device, they will be overwritten when you recall the
files. Refer to the section “ Saving Registers ” on page 8–25 for instructions on saving
registers.
2. Navigate to the Disk Menu as follows:

Caution
Do NOT remove the floppy disk or USB key from the switcher before
the LED on the disk drive or USB port goes out. Doing so may destroy
the data on your floppy disk or USB key, as well as the data on the next
one you insert into the switcher.
Note You must have the USB Removable Media Drive option installed in
order to use a USB key for recalling memory registers.
