Selecting the Font Size
To set the size of the text that will appear in the mnemonic displays, rotate the top
Font
knob to select
from the following choices:
•
Small
— up to 6 characters per line.
•
Small Invert
— up to 6 characters per line. Light text is on a dark background.
•
Medium
— up to 4 characters per line.
•
Medium Invert
— up to 4 characters per line. Light text is on a dark background.
•
None
— no characters are displayed.
The mnemonic display fonts change on the switcher as you select
Font
options.
Selecting the Color
To adjust the color that will appear in the mnemonic display, rotate the middle
Color
knob to select
from the following choices:
•
Green
, which causes the displays to have a green background.
•
Yellow
, which causes the displays to have a yellow background.
•
Orange
, which causes the displays to have an orange background.
•
None
, which causes the displays to be unlit.
The mnemonic display colors change on the switcher as you select
Color
options.
Shift Button
If you use the
SHIFT
function for some of your inputs, the mnemonic displays can be configured to
show both the shifted
and
unshifted input name. The lower label will always show the name of the
input that is considered active. Therefore, the name of the unshifted crosspoint is on the lower label
until you press down on the shift key; then the shifted crosspoint becomes the lower label.
Displaying the Shifted Crosspoint Names
To adjust the mnemonic displays to show the shifted names of crosspoints for the MLE Key and
Program buses, rotate the bottom
XPT Mode
knob to select from the following options:
•
I Name
, which shows only the names of the crosspoints for the selected bus.
•
2 Names
, which shows the names of the crosspoints for the selected bus and the names
of crosspoints when the bus is in Shift mode.
The example to the left displays the 2 line mode with the font of the active mode normal.
The example to the left displays the 2 line mode with the font of the active mode
inverted.
The mnemonic display modes change on the switcher as you select
XPT Mode
options.
