Use the following procedure to copy a Preset Pattern key within Keyer 1 of MLE 1:
1. Set up a Preset Pattern key in Channel 1 of Keyer 1. Refer to the section “ Performing a
Preset Pattern Key ” on page 7–32 for details.
2. Copy your Preset Pattern key to Channel 2 of Keyer 1 as follows:
• Ensure the
FLY KEY
button is lit in Keyer 1, enabling the Fly Key Mode.
• Press and hold the
PST PATT
button in Keyer 1.
• Press
KEY 1
in the Transition Area of MLE 1.
• Release both buttons.
3. Use the Positioner to position the new Preset Pattern key as required.
This concludes the procedure to copy a Preset Pattern key within Keyer 1 of MLE 1.
Key Swap
The Key Swap function allows you to swap the entire contents of a keyer with another key location
(in the same MLE, or in a different MLE).
Use the following procedure to swap a keyer:
1. Press and hold any Key Type button in the first keyer’s Key Group .
2. Press either KEY 1 or KEY 2 in the second keyer’s Transition Group . This can be the
same MLE or a different MLE. The button that you select is the keyer that is swapped.

3. Release both buttons. Both selected keyers swap their contents.
This concludes the procedure to swap a keyer. Note the function can also be performed in the reverse
order — pressing
KEY 1 or KEY 2 first, followed by the Key Type button.
Note
While the Key Over feature is enabled in the Key Setup Menu , it is
not swapped from the source keyer to the destination keyer because it
is an MLE feature. The
Key Over feature will be included when you
copy the contents of one MLE to another MLE location.
